A client reached out asking about seeing the color yellow during her CranioSacral work. She is experiencing some symptoms of weakened kidneys so I elaborated on how they could be related. I thought it was interesting so I decided to share:)
"First of all, we know emotions affect the body - they also affect specific organs. Based on thousands of years of traditional Chinese medicine and modern naturopathic teachings- the kidneys are affected by the emotion fear as well as other emotions.
Where does this fear come from?
This is a good question to ask. It could be fears you've had since you were a tiny child or perhaps fear from before you were born. Fear that was felt by your mother in the womb. It could be fear of letting go of something (good or bad). Or fear of the truth about yourself, or someone you love.
Letting your practitioner know about the kidney weakness and what colors your seeing on the table will help him or her to direct energy appropriately for your benefit.
During your CranioSacral session you saw yellow among other colors, but yellow stood out. Yellow is a significant color for fear and the kidneys. Yellow is the color of the solar plexus chakra and rules the kidneys space as well. Now, most text will say that the kidneys are ruled by the sacral chakra, but i feel like they are also affected by the solar plexus chakra as well since the solar plexus chakra is energetically right on top of the kidneys anatomically. Color therapy is a very real thing, so seeing yellow as well as other colors is a really positive sign.
Your body is intuitively beginning it's own healing process, doing what it does best - doing it all beautifully. Healing itself from the inside out."
There is a wealth of information online about Chakras (pronounced Chakra with a hard "cha"). Read up if your interested! Additionally I love the book "You can Heal your Life" by Louis Hay for more information on emotions and illness. Read her bio in the back of the book first - a truly amazing lady.
Our emotions and thoughts become things - this is why a peaceful mind is so important for our health. Today more than ever in human history.
