Veggies and Fruits to Buy Organically Grown:
  • Peaches
  • Apples
  • Bell peppers
  • Celery
  • Cherries
  • Nectarines
  • Strawberries
  • Kale
  • Lettuce
  • Imported grapes
  • Carrots
  • Pears
Vegetables and Fruits that are “acceptable” Conventionally Grown:
  • Onion
  • Avocado
  • Mango
  • Asparagus
  • Sweet Peas
  • Kiwi
  • Cabbage
  • Eggplant
  • Papaya
  • Watermelon
  • Broccoli
  • Tomato
  • Sweet Potato
They are “acceptable” because they are found to have less of the chemical residues
found in/on conventionally grown produce.  However, this does not account for nutritionally depleated soil that they are grown in, which decreases the amount of nutrients that they will naturally contain.  
Orgnanic is still the way to go when available and financially possible.  

**2 items that were omitted from this list were sweet corn & pineapple as they are often genetically modified organisms(GMO). Genetic Modification is NOT a natural process as with cross breeding.  Genetically modified vegetables and fruits often contain DNA from non-food items such as viruses, bacteria, & pesticidal elements that don’t just wash off; they are built into the food and we digest that food & those elements.  GMO’s contribute to allergies, digestive problems, & contribute HIGHLY to the use of pesticides & herbicides as this is part of the GMO farming process.  They should be avoided at all cost.
